A vivid village on the coast situated directly below the unofficial symbol of
the Costa Blanca, the "Peñon de Ifach" (mountain
of Ifach). Right at the shore the legendary mountain (300m) sharply rises up
from the sea. The hiking trail to the mountain peak starts from after a tunnel.
In Calpe you will find endless sandy beaches with a large number of bars and
restaurants along the strongly urbanized coastal area as well as a very nice
old part of the town where the church "de la Mare de Déu de les Neus" from 15th
century and an ornithology musuem is. At the shore some of the royal baths that
once have been carved into the rocks can still be seen.
